AC Schnitzer have been taking mad BMW’s and making them madder for years. This is their latest – The AC Schnitzer M2. Performance is always at the forefront of any AC Schnitzer build and this one is no different, taking power from 365hp to 414hp and torque from 369lb ft to 428lb ft. The extra power comes from a new intercooler, switchable exhaust and a ReMap of the ECU.
Suspension changes drop the car either 30mm or 40mm depending on whether you go coilovers or springs, and a carbon fibre aero package turns an already angry looking M2 into a complete animal.
Think of this then as a BMW M2 without the EU Regulator restrictions. No child friendly bumper height or panda friendly exhaust system. Essentially, this is the car BMW wanted to make.
BMW have been creating some brilliant cars of late. By all accounts the BMW M2 is one if the best. You can bet then that this AC Schnitzer version may just be refined perfection. Visually its not far from it, but and it is a rather large BUT, you want the car in the pictures? You will need to part with $25,000 / £20,000 plus a donor BWM M2. That’s a lot of money when you can buy a few year old BMW M3 for the same price as the upgrades.
